New York Fashion Week kicked off yesterday which puts all eyes looking to fall 2016. But in case you need a refresher for what’s coming out now – this spring – here’s a little recap of the S/S16 runway trends.

    METALLICS

Brunello Cucinelli | Paco Rabanne | Isabel Marant

I’m not sure when my obsession with the shiny fabric began, but it’ll be working for me this season. Metallics are happening!

    STRIPES

    Suno| Jcrew | Ace & Jig

Do stripes ever even go away? Probably not but so what…they’re a flattering trend that most can pull off pretty easily.

    TYE-DYE

Valentino | Altuzarra | Louis Vuitton

Reminiscent of the 70s (another trend that never strays too far), the modern play of tye dye is a fun way to colorpop your look.

    FLORALS

Marc Jacobs | Mary Katrantzou | Tommy Hilfiger

Florals are my absolute fave! I wear them whether they’re shown on the runway or not. But since they were shown for this season, many stores will load up on the springtime standard. Better otions!

    ORANGE

    Altuzarra | Rage & Bone | Celine

I’m all for the bold color that we’ll be wearing this spring. Orange rocks!

And now for runway look that most belongs in my closet (It’s got stripes, florals + metallic!):
