For me, the streets of NYC have always been a style guide. But lately, I’m loving the outfits on Mrs. Maisel. Now, you may be wondering how my casual sporty style is inspired by the vintage lady-like fashion of Mrs. Maisel. And that’s what’s so cool about your style guide. She presents you with the elements, or components of an outfit that you want to incorporate into your looks.

And keep reading to see some of my favorite outfits from the show. and how they inspire my style.

    Clean + Monotone

This was definitely my gateway look into the show’s wardrobe. When I saw this outfit I was like – wait a sec…the styling on this show is FABULOUS! The monotone style, the slim fitting silhouette that provides full coverage yet it’s still fun and flirty. Plus the color!

    Pretty + Accessorized

Headscarves have long been my go-to for bad hair days. But seeing this look on Mrs. Maisel proved that the accessory isn’t just a cover up…it easily can make its own statement!

    Fab + Feminine

The coats and dresses on the show are getting a lot of attention. While this uptown, ladylike vibe isn’t me, I LOVE how chic the palette is! And the simple detail on the shoulder is totally up my alley – subdued, yet still a strong fashion detail.

    Cool + Sophisticated

You may be surprised that I’m pulling an all black ensemble into this mix. But this Beatnik Village vibe is just too cool. And you KNOW I’m all about a super cool look.

    Effortless Chic

Looooove a chic neckerchief as an automatic outfit upgrade.

Wanted to include this pic from Glamour magazine showing the actress in a recent shoot. I’m a huge fan of the show’s wardrobe, and how it inspires me to play with bold color combos, simple silhouettes and clean lines. And seeing the same elements come together in a more modern look just confirms that it’s these styling components that continue to draw me. Oh, and of course… flower! Give me a floral jumpsuit with a floral background, and I’m 100% in!

What do you think of the wardrobe Mrs. Maisel wears? Is it your style, or not?
