Do you have a closet full of clothes, yet you continue to wear the same old thing all the time? Or do you still wear pieces from your past, but you’re not sure if they’re outdated, or right for you anymore? If yes, it’s time for a closet cleanout! Because having a curated wardrobe will always ensure you look your best.
Your Closet Cleanout As A Healthy Habit
A heavy duty clean out —the kind that takes all day— can be useful. But it’s more practical to make clearing a habit that easily fits into your life. So rather than spend your whole Saturday (or weekend!), try doing small bits at a time.
Treat your closet cleanout as a practice. Do it daily, or at least a few times a week. Then there’s a sense of accomplishment that comes from the clearing. And this feeling of productivity sets you up well for the rest of the day! Not to mention the internal clearing that will occur.

I tried yesterday! I really did. And all I ended up booting was a pair of barely worn shoes. But, they’ll make my sister happy and I have room now for one more pair in my closet. I think it needs to be cooler here for me to really get in the spirit–autumn brings that cleaning/nesting urge, right?
I know what you mean about it feeling too soon to buy for the new season…no need to rush! Enjoy the space that pair of barely worn shoes has given you. And if you really want to go for it…try again tomorrow, and see if there’s something else in there that doesn’t fit (or look good). Clearing one piece at a time could lead to a lot of fresh space!
