    Choose happiness.

I know the phrase sounds kind of corny, but when life starts coming at you fast and furious, your ability to make decisions that keep you happy is key.

As a working mom of two in NYC, my life absolutely gets hectic! And choosing happiness…it’s not really a thing. I’m too busy trying to keep up with my day to day.

Thankfully, I’ve introduced some grounding elements into my life – yoga, meditation, and more recently the Buddhist classes which I’ve been attending regularly. One thing I’ve learned is that when I start to feel rushed, it’s a sign to slow down. No matter what.

There’s also something else I’ve started to do that’s helping me choose happiness in my life. It’s about cultivating a more peaceful mind. I know, it’s kind of a lofty goal, and not the kind of thing we’re putting on our daily to-do lists, but a more peaceful mind really is the answer if you’re looking to be happier in your life.

In my next video, I share a simple tip that I learned recently at one of the Buddhist classes. It definitely requires you to slow down when you’re feeling rushed, but there’s something else you can do that’s easy to implement immediately.

Click play for this simple tip that will help you choose happiness in every situation. And please let me know in the comments below how you cultivate a more peaceful mind.
