The Spring/Summer ’15 runways are on its last legs after completing stints in NY, London and Milan. As all eyes turn to Paris to finalize the season’s new trends (military, gingham + brocade), my eyes hone in on exceptional moments amongst the usual hum emanating from the long-limbed brigade.
Here, three highlights from fashion month that made me say OH YEAH:

Athleta’s Crush of Adrenaline presentation
The sporty look has become such a thing that the lifestyle brand earned the kick-off spot for New York Fashion Week. Armed with air born trampoline performances, and a crispy mix of parkour/breakdancing moves, the athletes/fitness instructors/ super muscle-y models pumped up the crowd with their high impact dose of good vibes showing that healthy living is definitely in. OH YEAH!

VPL’s Aerial Presentation
The inner wear as outerwear collection, VPL (short for Visible Panty Line), was showcased hanging from the scaffolding in the Mercer Street showroom. With a gravity defying performance, acrobats tested the limits of the athletically driven clothes in a series of stretch-y twists and turns. Oh, and creator Victoria Bartlett said she started the line because she was fascinated with “bringing the inside out”. Um…that merits a definite OH YEAH from me!

Marni’s Flower Market
I’m a huge sucker for botanical prints so when I came across the Instagrams from this pop-up shop I was immediately on board. In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Italian design house, long associated with whimsicality, opened the doors to the public to shop a collection of gardening pieces emblazoned with their vintage prints. Talk about a breath of fresh air…plus all proceeds went to children’s charities. OH YEAH!

Love all of this, Elysha! So cool to have a wide array of movement showcased along with fashion (I was just at the local Athleta store today-so many cool things for the movers among us :)). Thank you for the refreshing post! xoxo
I agree, ST– we movers need these options to keep moving comfortably and feel great along the way! Thanks as always for your thoughtful response. I appreciate it! xoxo
